Re: Anyone been cured yet?

I thought Jhan and Shelley's posts were great (as always) but I had something to add.

You have to realize that every person's body is different. Yes, we are all in a similar boat, but the conditions that got us to this point, how far down the road we are, what others things are going on in the body, and what caused the candida are all important points to figure out the formula and "cure" that is right for you.
It is why we are all here, taking a bit here and there from each other, but how each person responds is going to be different. I believe this issue (or rather the failure to recognize the issue) is at the heart of the weakness of mainstream medicine.

Cleansing the body and making efforts does produce results. Every one on this forum will tell you that. A cure, well, most of us are still working on that. But let's not discount better, because, after all, better is pretty damn good from where a lot of us started.

I've been at it for about 8 mos. Been doing the diet, the vitamins, the cleanses, juicing, foot pads, grapefruit seed extract - let's just say there are not many things I haven't tried. Some work, some work better than others. Health is like an onion that you have to peel back the layers of toxicity and illness. It can be discouraging that there seems to always be another layer waiting. The good news is that we should all be thankful that this ridiculous disease has made us wake up and change in order to save our lives. Because we are cleansing and being more healthy, we may avoid the fate of those supposedly perfectly healthy people that wake up at the age of 55 with cancer but never had a symptom before then.

Yes, it sucks. But a year ago, I could see my vitality slipping away and not knowing why or empowered to change it, feeling I may make it only another 5 years or so. Today, I struggle, but I envision a healthy me with a much longer life and no longer so afraid of orphaning my children. Life is balance, we often must give up some things to get others. To gain knowledge and insight we often must give up oblivion. To be empowered we must work hard. These are gifts and not burdens.

Just because a "cure" can take awhile doesn't mean that the journey wasn't worth it.
We are all blessed here, and on your worst days, you need to know that to get through.
