Re: To #17329 - Interesting (and I need to vent)
I can sure relate to the ARRGH! I am trying to learn all this stuff as I always wanted to be a nutritionist (got sidetracked and ended up with a degree in geography, sigh) and dealing with candida has revived that interest big time, but as you know, the more you read, the more you realize you don't know and how on earth to say whether Peter or Paul is right. It is enough to tear your hair out. I have come to the conclusion that everyone is right - their protocols DO work, just not on everyone. I do have a trusted alternative MD I am going to run the "Chlorella is bad" idea past. He put me on it to begin with. I admit I did not go to the site. Well, I did, but I didn't have time today to register, so I googled Cutler and Chlorella to see what he has to say. The thing I find curious is that 99% of websites, practitioners, what have you say Chlorella is a very effective binder and where he promotes ALA, that stuff actually made me more toxic. So, is this an individual thing? I don't know. From what I have been led to believe, Chlorella is needed to bind whatever MSM, ALA, Cilantro, etc, pull out, otherwise it cannot be eliminated. He seems to be saying that it doesn't bind very well (everyone else says it is the best binder short of DMPS, etc) or once bound, it cannot be eliminated by some folks, but I would think this would point more to a plumbing issue, unless I miss my mark. So are 99% of "experts" wrong, and only this guy has it sussed? I find that hard to believe, but you never know. I only know it works for me, although I dont know how one would know if mercury were being re-deposited in their brain. Would you feel it? I sure do not want to be doing anything that might cause problems. I really appreciate your pointing this out. I don't plan to stop using it at this point, but will look into it. I will say that I haveread posts frm folsk who did not think Chlorella helped them and I read one who said she felt worse. It is good to know the other side because I want to recommend stuff responsibly. Thanks
