different approach
Hi, you posted almost a week ago, so I don't know if you'll see this. Sorry now I didn't see it before, I rarely come on anymore because I am all better.
Last summer, I was very ill, I've posted the long list of symptoms before. I could not work and was nearly bedridden. I am absolutely fine now; the "cure" took about 6 months.
I went to see this doctor:

The diet was simple: no malt in any form (including maltodextrin). No vinegar or fermented foods. No mold (fresh cheese o.k.). I also avoided yeast breads, cut back on chocolate (never gave it up, tho).
Besides the diet, I took nystatin, a prescription antifungal. My doc has treated this for a long time, in his opinion you always need both the diet and the nystatin. In my case that was certainly true, too.
Occasionally I used Psyllium and
Bentonite shakes to remove the toxins being released by the candida.
To replenish the "good" bacteria, I ended up using acidophilus "pearls" from the health store, because other probiotics did not work. Perhaps the probiotics did not survive the stomach? The pearls worked.
That's it! Be forewarned, whenever the "vinegar" topic comes up, people seem to get bent out of shape. Some swear by using vinegar to fight candida, however some of those same people have been sick for a very long time. I did get well comparatively quickly, my doc has both an MD and PhD in nutrition, and explained the rationale for avoiding vinegar. I trust my own recovery the most, though. I never gave up sugar, either, cut back though!
So, there's my experience. As always, your mileage may vary.
Good luck and good health to you.
