Strange smell and Ankylosing Spondylitis

Hello. I posted somewhere below as Newbie but thought I'd write a bit more. About a year ago I started getting a bad back and this was accompanied by aches in the knee joints, heels and one hip. I also had (still have!) flu like symptoms about 3 days out of 7. Now I always assumed that i had Ankylosing Spondylitis, and so did my GP. BUT after loads of tests, no signs clinically. The thing that convinced me was an Isotope radioactive bone scan that shows inflammation and the rheummy couldn't find ANY. OK, so i don't have classic AS, but I have many of the symptoms. Thats how Ive come here. I think these aches are something to do with cand. My only reason for this is that my spit test is lousy (although i know it's a debatable issue here) and the docs can't find anything else wrong.

If you'd like to comment on this and give me some direction, I'd appreciate it. But here's something else I don't seem to see listed in signs of cand that I suffer from and would like to understand: I have a strange smell up my nose alot of the time. It's musty and not too disimilar to a 'cigar' in nature believe it or not. It's not coming from my body as Ive asked others if they smell it and they say not. Again, any comment appreciated.

Take care

Adam
