I have been trying to source out a decent dehydrator. I found one but need to check out its control device to make sure it has even, well maintained heat within the desired range, suitable for delicate dehydration (as opposed to beef jerky style..lol). It is a commercial model retailing for just over $300.00, if memory serves me correctly.

If this doesn't meet my requirements I will have one built to my own specs. It would be nice to have some dehydrated snacks but I would not want this to become a large part of my diet as high water content food is the most health building.

I will track down the commercial one for you and post it.
