Interesting idea

Hi Abraham!

Now there's a unique approach! Looked up the temp/yeast thing on the net. Found this:

an optimal growth at 30 or 37 C (that depends on the
species). At higher temperature the cells become
stressed, meaning that their content becomes damaged
and which can be repaired to some degree. At high
temperatures (>50 C) the cells die.

yeast is a unique type of fungi that grows quickly by rapid cell division.
It grows best at about 100 degrees fahrenheit, colder will cause it to go
dormant, much warmer could kill it
J. Elliott

I'm a little disappointed that it likes 100 degrees, how much warmer is enough?!?! Tried some other sites and it looks like temp to kill yeast varies depending upon the species.

Also found this assertion: # Hypothyroidism - this is a condition that is fairly common, as a low body temperature permits easier and faster growth of candida albicans

It doesn't have a reference, but perhaps this means someone out there does know that candida does better at a lower temp. I just wonder how high it needs to be to kill it.

At any rate, I didn't find ANYTHING at all suggesing that your method would make it worse! It appears the only danger would be the possibility of burning yourself.

Keep us posted! Wonder how much it costs to build a sauna and how hot those things get... :)

I didn't have much time... will try to find something more later. There was an in vivo-study on mice and candida albicans and temperature, but only the abstract and I did not understand...I think it was that they grew the candida first at different temps, then subjected the poor mice. That doesn't help...
