This information is taken from Balch & Balch, Prescription for Nutritional Healing, 3rd edition
Assuming
Sugar cravings are occurring from unstable blood sugar, this is more complete information about dealing with them. Sorry I didn't have all this in my head when posting before, but now I've pulled the book out. Here goes:
To help control blood
Sugar levels, these are listed as "essential:"
Alpha-lipoic acid (as directed on label) (helps control blood
Sugar levels)
Chromium Picolinate 400-600 mg. daily (helps regulate blood sugar levels)
Garlic (Kyolic) as directed on label (decreases and stablizes blood sugar levels)
L-Carnitine (mobilizes fat) plus L-glutamine (reduces cravings for sugars) plus taurine (aids in release of insulin) **my input- maybe this is for alternate energy source of fat?
Vanadium (aids insulin's abiltiy to move glucose into cells, use vanadyl sulfate form).
Vitamin B complex and biotin (improves the metabolism of glucose)
There are more recommendations lited as "very important." Maybe you already have some of these to try, but if you want more off the list, please let me know and I'll post more.
