Re: Can digestive enzymes cause stomach pain?

I had horrible stomach pain after taking candex which is a strong digestive enzyme blend. I also have had problems with other enzymes in the past. It caused the worst burning pain I've ever endured.

I went to the emergency room and they basically told me that I probably have a spot in my stomach that is forming an ulcer and to quit taking digestive enzymes.

The only one that I can tolerate is some pancreatin called alka-pan.
