Yeah, some seeds don't break down in our digestive system. If you want to get any value out of them, you have to grind them. Me, I just use my teeth - the cheapest and most available grinder there is. I put flax seeds on my salads, and chew really well. You can also pop some into a coffee grinder, or use a mortar and pestle on them. Ground seeds can be added to smoothies or dressings or any number of things - they're good! As long as you break the coating of the seeds, you should be able to assimilate their nutrients.
