Re: can i be a carrier and not know it
From the book "Alternative Medicine," the predisposing factors for Candidal Vaginitis (yeast infection): allergies,
Antibiotic use, corticosteroid meds, diabetes, elevated vaginal pH, gastrointestional candida, iron deficiency, oral contraceptives, nylon tights, pregnancy, and steroids. A blood serum PCR test will determine if candida is present in the blood (systemic), and a stool culture will confirm gut levels, if any.
I'll try my hardest to make this forum X-rated, maybe even triple-X. As Beavis would say, "Heh heh heh...Oral sex!...Cool!!!" If a woman has candida in her mouth and "pleasures" a man orally, and then you do the dirty deed, she may essential infect her own privates via her mouth. If you have candida in your mouth and "pleasure" her orally, you can pass this on. If you (or her, via the scenario above) drink a fermented beverage (beer, wine, any distilled liquor), this can infect. For those concerned, showering and/or thoroughly washing the outside of one's privates would help. Flossing and then thoroughly brushing one's teeth, gums, roof and sides of mouth, and tongue will help. Subsequently gargling with Listerine or similar may also help, and is a quick way to remove any beer or wine yeasts from an otherwise scrubbed mouth.
Funny, upon getting shore leave during WWII, I doubt if Grandpa ever worried about this stuff when "lookin' to score" at the local red light! A quick wipe-down with a wash cloth, grease back the hair with Valvoline, and you were good to go!
