Back on track! Day 2 (again)
I made it 5 days raw last time. Then I had a meat binge. Pork roast and beer sausage. I don't even like beer sausage???? But once I stopped raw, it was hard to get going again. But after a few days, I decided to start again on Sunday. I am allowing myself 50 calories/day of non-raw. Not much, but until I get my teflex sheets, I am having a "lo-carb wrap" once a day. I don't like the nori sheets.
So far I am mostly eating fruit and/or smoothie in the morning; salad w/avocado for lunch. Then its a wrap for dinner. I have been putting some sunny seed cheese dip/spread on it, then grated carrots, spinach, red onions (only a little) and 8 kalamata olives. It is pretty good. I got the idea from a vegetarian restaurant an hour + away. But they put theirs in a large flower tortilla. I thought the wrap was a bit better because it is made from whole wheat grain and has better flavor with the herbs.
I made the sunny dip/spread twice. The first time it didn't turn out very well. So I tweaked the recipe and made it again the next day. I took it with me out of town Saturday and it kept me raw for lunch! My son loves it on bread, and as a dip for chips/vegees.
We're going on vacation Thurs - Sun, and I've researched where to buy organic produce near where we're going. Our anniversary dinner is going to be a salad, because there doesn't seem to be a raw restaurant.
I am really looking forward to the feeling of accomplishment I'll have when I get home and can say I stayed raw on vacation! I'm committed to 30 days this time, and hope that when I get there, I'll be ready for 100% FOREVER!
