Re: Evolution is a Religion, it takes faith to believe in it

I don't really care to join in on the debate, becasue it seems useless, everyone is too headstrong but I would like to set some basic defenitions down so listen up.

Faith does not = religion.

Defenition of Religion:
1. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
2. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.

Believing in evolution is NOT a religion. becasue a) is says nothing about a supernatural power and b) it's not something that's worshiped.

You can have faith in a lot of things such as that your son will succeed in college. Is that a religion? I think not. So stop twisting words and defenitions around to fit a retarded argument.

In conclusion this whole thread is BS!
