Re: Tamoxifen, BigPharma, and my thoughts
This doesn't surprise me. I'm in England and was subjected to Tamoxifen treatment for the best part of two years, until I put a stop to it, due to the horrible side effects.
I'm sure we in England are just as beholden to the big drug companies pushing their product. One question I'd like to know the answer to:
If
Breast Cancer is now affecting younger and younger women, with some reported cases as young as SIXTEEN years old; then why is there no choice of medication for us? There are however, shedloads of different tablets for post-menopausal women. I wasn't menopausal when I got cancer, and I'm still not now, but this stuff messes your hormones up so badly, it's unreal. I'm still trying to get rid of the weight Tamoxifen and the Mireena coil combined to slam on me in a matter of weeks. No wonder it's so hard to put it all behind us for so long. There are constant reminders. I never had a weight problem before this.
It's not just cancer though. The big drug companies have the medical profession in the palm of their hand, and dictate what treatment people will get, by producing fuzzy and misleading "scientific" reports as to the effectiveness of the particular drug they are pushing this week.
The question is, how can they be stopped, and CAN they?
