whats the deal?

i think its great that the show did something for the gulf coast but i mean i just don't understand why we, as a nation, are sitting around and acting like things there will just magically rebuild themselves. now DON"T GET ME WRONG, i am fully aware that some people are working their tails off to rebuild, but i mean it seems the entire nation should be mobilizing and that this should be like a national focus, but no, its not, we are more concerned about the next american idol or whatever. this should be THE national conversation right now. acts of congress left and right.federal dollars flowing, labor imported from all 50 states. i know i am just bitching here, but we should act like we care about our own country and our own fellow citizens. what happened to you america?
