Re: Results you have experienced with a raw diet???

Well, I actually would like to lose a little weight, so I guess I don't think too much about maintaining at this point. I've lost a few pounds so far, but I lost 25 lbs recently on the master cleanse, and I think I'm still adjusting to that, so I probably won't lose much weight for a while. One thing I do like very much about raw is that you don't have to count calories at all - I have no idea how many calories are in anything that I eat, I just eat it ;)

From what I understand, after lots of research and reading, is that yes, at first, you will lose weight - what happens is your body replaces inferior muscle and tissue, which has been made with cooked and junk foods, with vastly superior muscle and tissue, made from the cellular level up with super living and raw foods that are loaded with enzymes and all sorts of things that are good for you, naturally. A lot of people do lose weight at first, and some even become underweight for a while, but your body knows what weight is best for you, and your genetic code dictates how much muscle and tissue is suited for you, and you'll get there eventually! If you want to add extra bulk by lifting weights, those muscles will be superior, too, because they're built from living and raw foods.

I'm 100% raw and haven't had any cooked food yet- I think using The Master Cleanse to get rid of food cravings was a really good idea and it really worked for me - I transitioned very nicely to all raw foods! I have a very addictive personality, and I know that for me personally, eating a half a sandwich here or a plate of pasta there will only make cravings for cooked food kick into high gear, so I know it's best if I totally stay away from it!

Are you thinking about eating raw foods exclusively? Have you tried it yet?
