I'm sorry to hear about your friend's complications. I'm also sorry to hear that your friend's aunt ate around the surgery and gained the weight back. Unfortunately, many times gastric bypass doesn't solve the real reasons behind why people are overweight. I've heard countless stories from people about how they lost a lot of weight in the beginning, but when it came time to exercise and eat right after the stomach stretches out, they couldn't do it and gained the weight back. Lets face it, if we could control our weight through diet and exercise, we wouldn't have needed weight-loss surgery to begin with. I've never heard of an Amylase Blocker specifically, but I've heard of fat and carb blocking pills on TV. Is that what you're thinking about? I guess I've always assumed that they were gimmicks like most diet pills, but if they really work, than I'd definitely be interested in looking into them. Thanks. ~Blessed Be Alicia
