So say Chaz isn't a brother in Christ...which no one knows except for himself and God...
If he in fact is not a brother in Christ, that is all the more reason to come to him with the message of God's LOVE. But if he wasn't a brother in Christ, wouldn't that make him a neighbor? The one Jesus commands us to love? And what about the verses speaking of how we are to treat our 'enemies' (Chaz, if you're reading this, I do not call you my enemy, but I see a lot of people here who may)?
And may I go back to my original post in the Religion forum of why to be able to REASON WITH PEOPLE, of how Paul debated, reasoned with everyone, from their veiwpoint? He never told them they were satanic and going to hell. He knew that would only intice them to more negativity. Instead he humbly goes into one of their places of reasoning, and subsequently preaches to them from their own viewpoint. About a loving God who wants to have relationships with them.
And besides all of that, when was the fact that the reason GOd sent his son as a love sacrifice to bridge the gap with mankind , when did that take the back seat to all this brimstoning? Remember that song "they will know we are christians by our love", etc...
Now it should be sung "They will know we are Christians when we tell them they have no hope and they're going to hell." Not very singable though.
