Why are the only 'christians' that post here bound in dogma? Atheists, just a little aside for the 'Brothers and Sisters in Christ'...

YUCK! I hate hate hate what the 'christians' are doing for those of us who do believe what Christ preached. They create such a soft gushy santa clause god...either that or hellfire and brimstone god who tells every other religion or non religion to go f**k off-- enjoy your ticket to hell. Then they just reiterate how incomplete their picture is by spewing forth religionized fluff. Nice...that will really make people say 'yeah I wanna be a part of THAT group!'

I know I run the risk of fueling the fire our athiest brothers already have blazing against us and our God by writing this post, because some may say 'see-- you guys can't even agree within your own religion. Why would I want to be part of that?' That is not my intent here. I don't mean harm here, I mean to ask for awakening. I mean to plead with my family to put up or shut up for the sake of the rest of us. I live in the 'Bible Belt' and my heart breaks everytime I hear a 'christian' speak their native language of 'christianeze'. I want to say, what the world are you talking about? I don't understand you, and I happen to believe Christ. Trying to 'save' the world. Look at your own shortcomings, fix them and then move onto others. We are supposed to have compassion for our fellow man.

I mean come on guys, please, investigate what it is you say you believe, or who you believe in! To do some of your own damage to you and quote scripture to you 'work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.' Why does he make a point to say fear and trembling there at the end? Because it is a SCARY business living not with rules, procedures, and rote...but what Christ died to preserve, loving wisdom. We all have gotten so far from what he intended for us to be. Everyone looks at this religion as incomplete at best. And can you blame them? To quote a bit of a post, "it would be very hard to speak with someone who had only read huck finn all their life" GREAT POINT.

And if anyone sans religion is reading this, the internal strife in this religion is truly abhorrent. I belive Christ cries when he sees his namesakes running around doing so much damage! They are so mean! I believe the reason the world isn't changed is all our fault. Christ died to give us the ability to change the world for the better and look what we have done with it. We have created such a blasphemous picture of God that when people hear the name Jesus at best they roll their eyes, and at worst flip him off and tell him to go to hell. WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

So 'christians' if you read this, don't go to bed tonight without praying that God will show you how to love...even if the teacher isn't a 'christian'.

I mean after all, we are all alike when death comes to get us...shouldn't we live like it? We need an awakening.

Sorry for ranting, I just couldn't stand by and be silent while I watch one more group of people RUIN the name of Christ. Perhaps I'll not change the world, but at least I'll love the people in it. Tweet
