"The term has countless definitions" {MrCooties}
and here they are.
God
4. One that is worshiped, idealized, or followed: Money was their god.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Again you prove my case for me, in your own post, before I even reply.
Taken from your own definition, taken from your own dictionary: "Money was their god". Is MONEY omniscient? all powerful? does money have supernatural powers? Of course not. Money can be considered god, just like anything else. Get it?
One does not have to idolize or worship their god. People can call nature a "god" and FOLLOW nature without WORSHIPING nature the way you worship your god. One can identify a god passively without actively following that god, fpr example those who think god created the universe and then left.
One can IDEALIZE anything and call it god, and live by whatever those ideals are. ANYTHING can be considered god, not just your biblical popular god. Sky's the limit! Also learn the difference between worshiped, idealized, and followed.
