***why is it so important to have a belief that serves no purpose...
you're right... i used the right words... only in the wrong places...
i should have said...
"why it is so important to serve a belief that has no purpose"...
other than to create contention of course... and rather than being "holier than thou" as our christian countrerparts... we strive to be "smarter than thou"... it is all the ploy of an "insecure ego" that craves attention and praise/approval of it's peers...
personally... i don't believe there is a true atheist in the whole bunch of you worldly wise guys... i think deep down in each and everyone of us we know... (regardless of all the garbage spewed here)... most of us are like spoiled children that are mad because God didn't do it our way... and all the tripe about atheistic beliefs is merely a coverup for seeking revenge... mind you... i am not condoning religious beliefs either... i don't claim to be an atheist... but for a long period of my life i did not believe in the God... because nothing i learned as a child made any sense to me at all... but i use to say i believed in God just to be on the safe side... just in case all those good folks might've been right...
lol...
