Re: something to think over

Well, I can't say I'm full of thought or ideas concerning your questions. But, i'll give it a shot.

1) have you ever scientifically researched about the Origin of Life? I don't just mean coming up with ideas...I mean reading facts from scientist. To give you a short summary it comes down to this: From nothing comes nothing. That's a scientifically proven formula.

I have not done any research about the origin of life. I'm assuming you are refering to human life on earth. I have not heard of any theories proven, so I'm assuming it's still speculation as to how life on earth started. This type of speculation is pointless.

2) have you ever thought about the universe and how planet earth perfectly fits the needs of humans. Compare that to the other planets we know.

I think more about how poorly humans treat the earth. Pollution, enviromental devistation, etc., Yikes! It's like parisites killing the host. Mankind should be ashamed of the way we treat our only home. Also, when considering how vast universe is, mankind knows very little about other planets and other galaxies. To think earth is the only planet with life is narcissitic.

3)have you ever thought about the DESIGN in all things. Look at your keyboard. When you look at it, you immedately can say that someone has given it a thought when creating it. It was made with the USER IN MIND. You can tell that the one who made it spent a great deal with making it useful and adapted to our need. There is a DESIGN in EVERYTHING. A Design automatically means that there was a Designer.

Ok, well this is not a question. Or, at the very least it's a loaded question.

4) have you noticed that all humans share some very basic traits, which have not been passed by language/culture or other means. Traits like morality for example. There is not a single culture who considers it very polite if you rape them, rob them or kill them.

Yet rape, murder, torture, robbery happen all the time. I don't see how this has anything to do with atheism. As an atheist I don't need a god to tell me to treat other beings as I would like to be treated myself. I do this because it promotes peace in my life. I think most people gravitate toward a peacful existance. Buddists have a code of conduct, yet there is no god in buddism.

5) how do you explain the personal experiences many persons have with the "other world"

I'm not sure what you mean by "other world". I believe in other dimentions of space and time. I believe there could be life on other planets. If you are refering to people seeing or speaking to people who have died, I don't know. If you are refering to near death experiences, the only experience I can draw on is my own. My experience with a close call in death was very euphoric. I think it was a hormonal responce.

6) how do you explain this: Every human on earth eventually ask himself these very same questions: Where are we from? What's the meaning of our life? Why/when/how will I die? What's the purpose of my life?

As far as I know the buddists have thought about this more than anyone. The more they meditate the more they loose their sence of "self". I suppose the meaning of life can be what ever you want it to be. As long as your life's prupose dosn't interfer with mine, who cares? I myself am searching for peace. I don't really care or think much about death. I don't care where I came from. As for purpose, well, I just try not to make things on earth worse than what they are now.

Like I said, I'm not a "deep" thinker. These are my thoughts, and they lead me in a peacful direction.
