Desparate!! - Entire family with environmental and food allergies!
Leigh
This is a really long post, but I'm desparate, and hopeful that someone can help me and my four children.
My background:
- I'm 37 years old and have four children (ages 2, 5, 9, 11).
- I've had pain all my life in my joints, always a little fibromyalgic, and was always tired (which I now suspect was a gluten intolerance??).
- Had my first two children and felt okay.
- My father died in 1993, very stressful time.
- Got breast implants (1994). For six months after, I could not even lift arms to my sides because of pain.
- I never was same after the implants.
- Had two more children, and we moved into a new house that we built.
- After the third child, my joint pain was really bad.
- I had a tickle-type cough.
- Toward end of my third pregnancy we were in new house that we built, and I had a tickle-type cough that went away just before I had the baby.
- Nine months after the birth of my third child, I was in terrible pain again.
- Later, I got pregnant again. They had to take the baby early because I wasn't growing and the water and my placenta was drying up. The baby was okay.
- Nine months after the birth of this fourth child, *again* I was sick. Had spider-type veins on my skin (looked like swollen blood vessels), and some brown patches on skin.
- I went to the dentist, and he removed two large
Amalgam fillings and put in temporary fillings. I never went back for the crowns, because I was afraid. I still have a lot of
Amalgam fillings. Two weeks after the dentist appointment, I went to bed with a fever and the same tickle-type cough that I had when I was pregnant, then woke up the next morning and my back was out. I've always had lower back problems, but my back was so bad this time that I couldn't walk. This marked the beginning of my current nightmare.
- Had my breast implants removed about five months after all these problems began.
- Every time I ate the cough would get worse, and my back would go out.
- I'm away of Celiac Sprue disease, as well as
Hulda Clark , and I have been to the Gursen Clinic.
- I can't go to the bathroom regularly, and do a lot of coffee enemas.
- It seems that I'm allergic to everything, and sometimes, I'm afraid to eat at all.
- I can't really take supplements, because if there is just a tiny bit of gluten in them, I'll get sick (cough, constipated)
- I'm petite and weigh about 115 pounds.
Environment:
- Our house has cellulose insulation, and some siding had blown off at one point and the insulation got wet.
- We suspected mold because we all had coughing (and we can smell it).
- We've had consultants come into our house and test for molds. The mold, penicillium and other mold counts were high, but there's no black mold.
- I believe our house is part of what has made me sick, as well as my four children and husband.
The rest of my family:
- My four children (ages 11, 9, 5 and 2), and myself cannot eat gluten. My husband has some trouble if he eats too much wheat or if he eats sugar.
- My husband has a rash on his rear that gets better when he is not in the house.
- Early on, I thought my 2 year old had a yeast infection, because my breasts and inside of my ears were itchy (which started after I had the
Amalgam removed). He cannot eat gluten, and I see undigested food in his stool all the time.
- My 2 year old also has little red bumps all over his arms. When he was 7 months old, he had spiking fevers and his back seemed to bother him.
- My 11 year old has trouble with gluten, but can handle it better than the other children.
- None of us can tolerate gluten in any way shape or form! This seemed to happen suddenly first to my youngest child, then up through to the oldest. This intolerance started after we moved into the house!!
- I went to a hotel for a week, and my cough went away.
Our diet:
- None of us can tolerate gluten. Currently, I can't even eat millet or quinuoa. My older son can eat a little gluten.
- We all juice every single day.
- My youngest son can't tolerate rice milk, and I'm at whit's end as to what to feed him and the other children.
Six weeks ago I moved myself and my children to a family member's guest house in the countryside of Arkansas (from Western Pennsylvania). I am completely desparate. I am 10 hours away from my home and husband. I home school my children. I'm doing a little better since we moved, but my 2 year old is still really sick.
I'm trying to look at this from a mind, body and spirit perspective, but nothing explains why every one of us is sick??
My questions are:
- What can I do to get better?
- How can all four of my children be sick??? And, if it is hereditary, why is my husband also sick?
- I used to think that if we moved out of our house, we'd get better, but now I'm not so sure.
- Can I ever eat gluten again (even non-wheat, like millet, etc)?
- I've considered doing a liver cleanse for myself, but even if this helps me, what can I do for my children? They're too young for a liver cleanse.
I'm afraid that I'm going to be really sick for the rest of my life. Please, if anyone has suggestions, or input, I'm very interested.
Thank you!!!
