Re: Buddhism a philosophy of life?
Personnaly, I don't see how one could be a buddhist Christian, that is almost opposite ways.
I do think that one can be a buddhist without being really religious, without doing any cult, but for the philosophy that it promotes.
I know that the Dalai Lama says that you can stay a Christian and be buddhist if you care, for you've spent your life with the same culture, and one can't change it, I think that's true, but a Christian has to change some of his perceptions and many of them, and be tolerant, i think, to aggree with the buddhists philosophy, but I think that is possible, it is all about opening of mind and caring for others.
Also there are extemist and integrist Christians, and some who are more opened to other perceptions, less closed and intolerant.
