Re: Buddhism a philosophy of life?

Sorry for the long absence. I have been extraordinarily busy of late. I would be happy to have dialouges concerning Buddhism or anything else. Buddhism has been incredibly positive for me in a very real way. I have used it to achieve many goals in my life. It basically deals with the concept of cause and effect. Every form of Buddhism does this. Most believe that you have to make causes over many lifetimes to change your "Karma" or the effects of causes internal and external to your life. The form I practice teaches that by chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" you can change the effects directly, therefor having a strong influence over events in THIS lifetime. While hard to believe, I have found this to be very true for me. I have achieved every goal I have sought including some that seemed imposssible. Before I started practicing (I was simply an Atheist) I had trouble achieving success on many fronts despite my best efforts. Buddhists call this "actual proof". It is the cornerstone of this type of Buddhist practice and it has held true for everyone I know who has tried it. If you would like more info, I would be happy to provide it. I don't want to upset anyone by seeming to prosletyze my practice, so if you want to correspond by email let me know. If nobody minds, I can continue posting if anyone has questions. Thanks
