All 17 year olds are different. Most of my friends would not be caught dead reading a book. Nobody I know reads any kind of scientific journal, so I do think that I'm "experienced" enough for this debate
I know quite well that "everything is not as it seems." I realized this years ago (even though I'm only 17), and this is what sparked my interest in the "politics of science" when I was even younger. I will keep doing my research, but until I find some evidence that alternative medicine works, other than testimonials, I will continue to support mainstream medicine.
