Response to Ev
Ev said "I just suggest you truly read through some of the articles that John Cullison presented to you." My mind is about as "open" as they go, but when a discussion lacks logic, what am I supposed to do?
I'm skeptical by nature, and I try to read all sides of a topic, even if it's something as accepted as, say, global warming. I read papers by the people who say that global warming is a natural stage the Earth will go through, and I read papers about the greenhouse effect.
Here's an English lesson of my own:
Webster's definition of virus:
"a submicroscopic entity consisting principally of nucleoprotein and able to pass through bacteria-retaining filters. Viruses have many characteristics of living organisms (e.g. they are capable of growth and multiplication in living cells) and are recognized by their toxic or pathogenic effects in plants and animal cells."
Consider the above definition.
A cold is a collection of symptoms that exist when the cold virus is present in the right location in a person's body.
As for showing respect, I can only give as much respect as the person reading thinks I'm giving them. That's the problem with the Internet, tones are difficult to distinguish.
