confused about acv's ability to kill fungi

i have nail fungus and people tell me to soak it in acv solution(or any vinegar?). yet i have been told that fungi ( and ohter parasites)thrive in acid environment, and tht i should eaat more alkaline foods and take minerals to combat fungi. there seems to be a contradiction here.
also acv is a fermented food, which means itlelf contains fungi. is it possible that it has "good" fungi and thus goes to war with the bad fungi? if so, would putting acv on salads and raw vegetables kill the parasites on them? would someone please enlighten me about these questions?

thankfully, mobiance
