Re:Advance Stage Lung Cancer & Asthmatic Symptoms

> My husband was diagnosed with advanced stage Lung Cancer several months ago. He has received chemo & radialdactal surgery. Though latest CAT scans show healthier functioning lungs since treatments, he is very distressed by symptoms ascribed to Asthma which may be accelerated by the Cancer. He has terrible wheasing and breathing- related problems. If the lungs are functioning at a healthier level now, why he is more symptomatic and what can be done to eliminate the wheasing which also is causing (I think) him to cough. The typical asthma-related inhalers which he has tried have not helped.
