Re: something's very wrong with me!
in terms of the salt water flush vs the lax teas: you can definately stick with the teas only if you prefer (as many have mentioned). i believe in the book it mentions that you should be having bowel movements 2-3 times a day, so regardless of method, i would stick to that rule. in terms of remaining determined to maintain the fast, i would say that you definately need to mentally prepare yourself. i mean, you are really not eating solid food for ten days, and that can be difficult. however, it is true that the mixture you are drinking gives you all of the vitamins and minerals you need and by the third day or so, if you sip it throughout the day, you shouldn't be suffering from many hunger pangs. i would just recommend reading up on it as much as you can, read the mc book, read more on this forum and other websites as well, pick a block of days that won't offer you too many excuses to quit (like easter, for many).
in terms of those around you that think detoxing is absurd, or think that no one can last on just a juice concoction, i have found that this response is simply a result of miseducation. i encountered many of these people over the past 10 days and with each of them i offered them the mc book. honestly, every single person that had been determined that it was unhealthy or bs changed their mind after they educated themselves. in fact, about four people i talked to are now trying it. if you want to keep your cleanse to yourself, that's your choice, but if you're like me and need to share your experiences as you're going through them, then just be armed with your facts, and be confident in your decision.
