Re: Day 2 Detox Headaches

Not knowing his normal diet, it's hard to say. Could be Sugar and/or caffeine withdrawals? Drug use, prescription or otherwise, could also cause headaches. I had terrible ones when I was coming off my pain meds for my back.

If he had a clean diet and no recent drugs in his system, it may just be an overload of toxins in his system.

Regardless of the cause, the best thing he can do is help his body to get the toxins out. Keep the bowels moving, drink extra fluids, rest, try a detox bath ( Epsom Salt bath or hot/cold shower?), dry skin brushing, etc. I've had a lot of success with ending (or greatly reducing) detox symptoms when I give myself an enema.

Each person needs to find what works best for him, but the detox symptoms are an excellent reassurance that your body is doing what we want it to be doing. Sometimes it's just better at it than we want it to be! Hang in there; it's great that you have each other to do this with!
