Re: PLEASE HELP!!!!!! not getting support at home!
Hi ac-clean,
I'm sorry I don't have any advise really, but I haven't had much support either :(. Everyone in my family keeps telling me I'm becoming anorexic no matter how many times I tell them that I'm getting a high enough calorie intake. If I wasn't getting enough, I don't think my body would have enough energy to go through menstruation on day 4 of the cleanse, but this doesn't make a difference to them. They're treating me like a freak, when I'm trying to do something good for myself.
This cleanse is not easy by any means and takes a very strong-willed person who wants the best for themself to do. You really have accomplished something GREAT just by taking that step and actually completing a full 10 day cleanse. This is something that you did on your own and you should feel VERY proud of yourself!!! :D
Even if you didn't break the fast according to the book, I don't think that has much to do with the results, but it's more for getting your body used to digesting food again, p. 27:
"Breaking the diet. Be absolutely sure you follow the directions very carefully to prepare your body for normal eating (our way). Do not over eat or eat too soon. Serious problems (nausea) can occur if detailed directions are not followed."
I've heard others say that even after 10 days, your tongue doesn't even turn completely pink, which is when it is said that you can stop the fast (can't find exactly where I read that). On p. 24 it says that during the cleansing process, "increased pain may be felt in the various joints of the body," which is from poisons circulating through the blood stream. Maybe you should try to rest a little and see how you feel maybe a week after the fast... and in a few weeks you could try round 2. And if you're not getting the support you need, we're always here ;)
Good luck to you and chin up!!!
Best wishes,
Bkrisp
