Thanks anja for your response. To be honest, I felt the very same way before I had my kids. Why put yourself through surgery when it's not a medical emergency, right? That was until my post pregnancy body left me having to not only tuck in my shirts, but make sure I tucked in my extra "belly skin" as well and hope that it didn't get caught in the zipper. Not to mention the fact that, like I said, I keep getting these sores. In all honesty, I'm not concerned about being accepted by what others are thinking of me physically. My husband and I are in ministry and stay focused on what is going on on the inside much more than we do looks... not to mention making sure that everyone else is ok as well. I know my husband loves me. He often tells me he would love me with no arms and legs... gotta love that man. This is just something I'm considering for myself and he supports me either way. I know wrinkles will come and I'm not so much worried about that... I would just like to have my stomach look somewhat "normal" again. Hey, if I was really concerned about looks that much, my list would be much longer, but I'll spare you the details! Ha! Just wondering what others think from a health perspective?? I guess what really got me thinking of it was the fact that 2 women in my close circle of friends, being very health conscience, had surgery for the same reasons I want it and have had great success with it.
