would the powdered plaster of paris turn rock hard once mixed with peanut butter?

I left a bucket of water in a barn once, it was near the wood wall, come spring I seen the bucket and went to dump it and it must have had 50 mice in it---apparently they climbed the wood and jumped over onto the bucket and each dead mouse must have smelled like dinner to them and they dived in-----------or maybe they were just suicidal
