the real info was there all along. everywhere else in the bible the word "hex" was used for the numeral 6. why not here in rev? the use of the obsolete word for six - stigma: a mark incised or punched to sho ownership - is the key. those kinds of marks were many times in the form of an X. so you have chi, which is an X, xi which contains an X, and stigma which is in the form of an X.
