Re: Ultra Rare Mopar - Chrysler 300J Long Ram 413
Mopar or Nocar, that was my motto back then! Wouldn't even park next to a Chevy or a Ferd! Mine was definitely not a Trailer Queen though, drove it for almost two years everyday in all kinds of weather, the damn thing thing almost killed me once or twice, wasn't MY fault! The body and interior were good, very little rust, previous owner had slid against a tree or something on the passenger side, just cosmetic. I dented the front fender driver side by being a dumb kid in the rain, the guardrail wasn't damaged at all, it's still there after all these years snearing at me.
The only real mechanical problem it had was the damn automatic transmission, it leaked around one quart of Dextron II every day from a bad seal at the shift linkage. I used to keep an old aluminum baking pan under the tranny to put it back in, Dextron II was expensive to a kid. If the fluid ran too low the torque converter would slip. One time I was messing around with a buddy and tried to pass him, nailed the gas pedal and the tranny slipped red-lining the engine, it broke something bad, me and my Challenger limped home and I ended up selling it to some guy for parts. I still miss that car.
