Re: A short list of cataract reversal eyedrops
Hi tke!
Thank you for your contributions here. I've not been able to read through all of your posts yet, but I believe we are on a similar journey to find a usable cure. For the past 2+ months I have been experimenting on myself with C-KAD. I've chronicled my journey on another eyesight forum. I'm not sure that I should post a link here, but will PM it to you if you want.
In May 2020 I was driving when all of a sudden I couldn't see road signs or license plates out of my right eye. To make a long story short I was bit by a tick which gave me Bells Palsy and was prescribed Prednisone which gave me a cataract even though I'm only 40.
They wanted to schedule surgery immediately, but I cancelled and have been researching papers, studies, trials, patents, etc. for the past several months and found the same things you've listed along with the common "internet cures" that I'm sure you know all about.
I started on NAC pretty quickly just to do something even though I understood the limitations of that. NACA was the first thing that got me excited, and I was able to speak with most of the scientists that were part of that study. They all said I should speak with the lead scientist, but she would never respond to me. Essentially they said that no one was ever interested in funding any human trials so it didn't go anywhere.
The lutein nanoparticle drops seem exciting, but I wouldn't be able to make them so I haven't pursued that yet.
The C-KAD drops are what I've done the most research on and I was able to dig up a mountain of information. I spoke with the CEO of the new company that holds the patent and described my situation. He said I would be a great candidate for the drops to work, but they haven't completed phase 3 trials yet (which I knew) and so there's no way he could get me any.
I decided to build my own mini lab, source the ingredients, learn about sterilization, and follow the instructions in the patents to create them myself. After much experimenting to get the Ph correct I used them for 2 months without any noticeable improvement and stopped 2 weeks ago. The reason I stopped is I was having an issue where the vision in my right eye every morning was greatly diminished. After 30-60 minutes it would come back to normal, but one morning I could basically only see light and shadows so I stopped.
I was worried my cornea may be damaged. Thankfully the ophthalmologist said everything was healthy and now 2 weeks later my vision is not great because of the cataract, but I'm not having the issue in the mornings anymore.
Now I'm seeking out my next step and not sure what to do. I may try them again but only with MSM for awhile and then only with MSM and NAC for a time and then add EDTA (I assume EDTA is the problem). That way I could figure out which ingredient was causing the issue for sure.
Also, the patents do mention DMSO in combination or instead of MSM and there are some interesting claims of DMSO curing cataracts although I've not found any studies or trials. I've seen your comments that do not seem favorable to DMSO, but if I cannot find anything else that is more hopeful then I'm probably going to try them. I'm not sure of the exact formula to go with.
Anyway, I'm sad to find you having the same struggles as I am, but it's great to find someone else seeking real, science-based answers to the problem. There are a thousand cataract related topics we could discuss, but I'll stop here for now.
Thanks!
