Well, let's see ...
Surgery: A minimum of $3,000 per eye for surgery, plus the drops you have to keep putting in your eyes because they get so dry as a result of surgery, plus the subsequent doctors visits, and if you have complications ... let's not even go there.
A Doctor I saw in Los Angeles charged a mere $14,000 for both eyes.

Eye drops: Maximum $100 for a one month treatment of eye drops. You do the math.
