Re: AGAIN THEY ASK ME - WHY DON'T I HAVE SURGERY?
"I seem to believe? they are happy with the way things are?"
There are 3 reasons I say they do not want to cure cataract with eyedrops or other nonsurgical means:
1. Many respected members of the ophthalmology profession told me personally, "we do NOT want a nonsurgical treatment of cataract, because cataract surgery is our bread-and-butter". I am merely repeating to you what they told me.
2. Over the last 10 years, I also spoke with many scientists who developed eyedrops, some of which could reverse even advanced cataract, and one or two of those could reverse it quite rapidly. All of these scientists hoped that their eyedrops would become mainstream treatment. But their hopes were never realized - either human clinical trials did take place, but the results were never reported, or pharmaceutical companies bought them up for hundreds of millions of dollars and never released them.
3. Most major eyedrop companies are now making surgical lens implants, and some of them personally declared to me that they also are no longer interested in eyedrops to reverse or improve the condition, no matter how fast and how well they might work.
Eyedrops would make money, but far less money than surgery.
