I know this is ridiculously old and the poster is probably no longer on curezone but I had to offer this advice if you happen to have another dog now or in the future.
How about not making them sleep in the dirt? I'm not trying to be judgemental but good god really? Your dog exists for you, to make you happy. Her main goal is to please you and be with you and you make her sleep outside in the dirt to be reinvested with mites and God knows what else?!? That is so sad.
If you dont want to bring your dog inside, you should at least provide a clean kennel on a cement slab with shelter but I still think that is a very sad life for a dog. Dogs are social animals and want to be with their pack or they become depressed.
Let your girl inside and give her a proper bed that has a washable cover. Tweet
