My HMO is a an absolute biatch. Every time I've requested to have my PCP refer me to any specialty department that can probably better help in figuring out if there's an underlying cause or issue in my body that's persisting the exfoliative cheilitis for over 5 years, the miserable evil spirited doctors staff say 'Dermatology is the right and only specialty for skin diseases and conditions'. f**king headasses. EC is a rare skin condition that they're completely unfamiliar about and have no consideration to researching and investigating.

After seeing up to 7 dermatologists for 4 years, they're only interested in me purchasing their rubbish ointment creams to make a buck for their cushy careers.

My nutritionist strongly recommended that I get a specialist in Gastreonterology because she thought that there could definitely be an underlying situation inside my body that is causing my lips to be chronically chapped, cracked, crusty, and severely dehydrated especially so young from 16-21. I wish she was my PCP because she would fight with these negligent providers to get me in.
