Re: Longterm antibiotic use caused my EC?

Thanks for your message. I got my biopsy results back and I was diagnosed with Cheliocandidiasis which is basically a bad candida yeast infection on my mouth. I was prescribed fluconazole for a few weeks as well as a topical clotrimazole twice daily application on the lips. To be honest, pretty immediately, I felt pain relief after using the cream. My lips were always feeling sore and super dry and tight. Now they feel better and it's only been one day. I'll keep you posted. I am on the facebook group and continue to post so that I might be able to help myself and someone else in the process.

Prayers to you. Don't give up - please stay on top of your health. I have had this since March of this year so not nearly as long as others but i've been very diligent with seeing doctors and finding "my" treatment. I do believe EC is just a symptom of an underlying cause that is different for many people. Keep searching. Keep your head up. One day this will be gone and it will have felt like a bad dream.
