Here is another study about CoQ10 and parasites. The last sentence was important, I don't understand most of the medical study terms, but here it is " Results suggest that CoQ is ubiquitous amongst the protozoa, regardless of the presence of mitochondria, and may function in alternative roles to that of mitochondrial electron transport chain component."
