Re: Borax/Boron was like taking speed!

I only tried it a couple of additional times, in capsule form, and decided to stay away from it. Hubby still takes it from time to time if he is feeling especially tired or fatigued, and he says it no longer gives him the same flying-high effect.
I found it in capsule form online and was more comfortable with the idea of taking it because I knew I could get a measured dose and wanted to be able to see exactly what amount caused what effects. I believe the amount was 3 mg, but can confirm if anyone really wants to know. Just google Boron capsules and I'm sure you will see lots of offerings.
The reason I decided to stay away from it was because when I took it I felt almost as if my heart were racing, although my home blood pressure cuff did not indicate a raised level. I do take a beta-blocker for heart palpitations and was told several years ago, for the first time in my life (at age 45ish) that I have a heart murmur.
The effect of feeling sooo energetic was wonderful, but I need to watch my heart also, as issues do run in my family.
My theory is that we were so low on boron that our bodies/minds got a jump re-start from it.
Regarding the capsule form vs mixing it ourselves, I believe our mixture was much stronger, as I only mildly felt the effects from the 3 mg capsule, but still felt it. We shared the capsules with a relative who said they felt nothing different, and shared the home mixture with another relative who also stated he felt no different effect.
Not sure if the capsules did not give the same strength in result because the dosage was lower or because the previous intake had accumulated and the mineral was not as depleted in my system at that point.
More research is definitely needed.
As a side note - I have found tons of information on pubmed. Go there and search any health or medical term. read, read, and read some more. people are checking things out without big Pharma backing them and are putting the info out there for us. even if you don't know all the scientific terms, keep reading because you will get something from it.
