Re: Success curing anal fissure

Hello, I just want to share my positive experience with diltiazem cream

I've had anal fissure since february this year. I am not exactly sure how it happend, I am not usually a constipated person. But somehow it did...

The painful feeling that comes with the anal fissure is really hard to describe. I tried several rectal ointments that were sold OTC (i.e. with lidocaine), but nothing worked. I was lucky to find a doctor who know his stuff and he prescribed me diltiazem cream that was compounded for me by a pharmacy. I had to apply it twice a day (specifically he said after defecation) for about 30-40 days. I didn't expect much, it looked bland like petrolleum jelly, but it really worked miracles and in a month the fissure had already started closing. After application I felt relaxation and I think this is what helped me heal the fissure. I have to mention that I also took Psyllium. Doctors tend to recommend a lot of fiber (like 30g a day ), but I found that I only need a little more fiber (like 5g additionaly) and it feels better. Too much fiber only makes it worse for me.

Hope this helps.
