is god omniscient?

does god know everything? well, he is god, so that is what i have always been taught. he knows everything.

we recently had a conversation about the bible and whether it is 100% god breathed. good conversation, too. i prefer to use the bible as my basic reference. what dose the bible say about this question?

Genesis 3
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

dint god know where adam was? according to gods word and his character, he doses not pretend. what does this mean?
