Re: Pcos related Bromhidrosis thoughts
I'm just now seeing your response for some reason. I know I'm late as hell, but I do still want to reply and tell you what's been going on.
So here's a bit of an update: I went on vacation and my odor was just unbearable. A real nightmare. When I returned home, I decided that I needed to go in a new direction. I had been focusing on my gut health a lot. It helped a bit, but then, my odor went back to being bad.
So I hopped on FB in early September this year, found an odor support group and a person had posted about a progesterone cream. The one I use is from Source Naturals. It has helped me somewhat. Also, I feel like I get less hot flashes and sleep better.
I also purchased a pill name DIM. I had the worst breakout ever this year and I think it was due to my hormones. I was browsing and found a pill name DIM that is said to help with estrogen dominance, acne, hot flashes, etc. I bought it, but I think it gave me a breakout. I tried using it and the progesterone cream at the same time and it was BAD. The reactions were more vocal.....so it seems like they clash with each other even though they are both hormone products. So, if you have estrogen dominance, try getting DIM. I didn't try it long enough to know if it really affected my odor. I'll give it another go even though I'm pretty sure it caused my skin to breakout, but it may work for you.
I have always been able to smell myself, but my ability to do so lessens drastically while I've been taking the progesterone cream. I have a friend and she said the progesterone cream cured her odor, but her odor returned when she stopped using the cream. She stopped using it because she was pregnant. My odor is mostly a musty smell. It comes through my pores and it's really strong in my groin area. If you get this message, do you have any updates on products you've tried? I just started really focusing on a hormone regimen because I realized that my gut routine was not getting tot he bottom of this issue. What about you?
