It is bad, is my conclusion. In nature we never get those high amounts, for an extended period of time.

This is not to say that in the short term, high dosing with Iodide cannot be beneficial. For, it can be. It was proven to flush out heavy metals.

But once the flush is done, that should be the end of the high dosing.

Use it but don't abuse it.

It doesn't take a lot of talent, only a little bit of skill, to know when enough is enough.

I'm glad I toned it down and backed off, a long time ago. Mostly for me, maintenance amounts, just a little bit, now and then.

I don't know if there is any study about long term high dose Iodine and mental effects. I'm starting to believe it might possibly cause premature dementia but unfortunatly there is little data, and totally lacking any controls that might put meaning to the data, so, its pure conjecture.
