Re: Water retention on Master Cleanser normal??
Strangely enough, fasting can be dehydrating. You do not have any solids in your system to hold on the the water. Also, drinking in the wrong way can lead to dehydration. When the body does not have enough water it tends to hold on to what is there, often this results in swollen feet, ankles, even the whole leg.
I assume you are drinking the recommended amount of lemonade and hopefully plenty of fresh, pure water. Do you chug the liquids, or drink large amounts at one time? This way of drinking puts stress on the body and the kidneys quickly flush out the water. The lemonade needs to be drunk slowly, treat it like a meal and take your time with it. This gives your body time to absorb both the fluids and the minerals it needs. Try drinking about four
ounces of water every half hour during the day, taper it off to four
ounces an hour in the evening before bedtime so you will not be up all night. Once again, sip the water and savor it. Picture the pure fresh water being absorbed into the cells and the toxic laden waste water being excreted by the kidneys.
Many people, whether they are fasting or not tend to stay dehydrated. Tiredness, swollen ankles and slow thinking are among the symptoms that they need more water. But, remember, that water must be drunk in a way the body can absorb and utilize it. Sipping is good, chugging is bad.
By the way, I would suggest you avoid the
Sea Salt water flush until the swelling goes down some. A lot of people tend to retain the salt and that causes even more bloating. The lax tea should help keep bowel eliminations going, but since it is also dehydrating, be sure and drink the water.
