Found some causes of FBO/leaky gas; confirmed with gastroenterologist!

So I've been plagued with unexplained horrible Body Odor for around 2 years now? It's hard to tell when it first started since people rarely tell you to your face but make enough vague comments for you to overhear. I've seen 4 different doctors before I finally found one who could tell me what was going on! Please if you're covered by insurance and can make the payments, don't give up searching for a cure!

This became too lengthy so I'll just summarize them in brief:

**Anal fissure - if the tear or crack is around the anus, it can cause gas incontinence - as the anus can't fully close, the gas will seep out through the fissure. Prone to getting infected! Can emit a foul smelling discharge, sometimes becomes stuck in the anus. If you have constipation or diarrhea, the smell of the stools within your body can seep out through the fissure and sometimes with diarrhea it causes watery leakage that can look and feel like sweat.

**Fecal impaction, incomplete eliminating or constipation - if you have a lot of gas the smell of all those fermenting stools comes out, smelling worse than usual gas. It can also come out through your breath and nose.

** food intolerances and allergies - like Celiac (gluten), lactose intolerance, even red meats. If you're intolerant/allergic the body can't digest it well and tries to purge the toxins through your skin and sweat. Doesn't happen to everyone with intolerances; everyone reacts to it differently.

**Unbalanced diet - too much red meat, sulfur foods, sugar, or dairy, etc. I never realized how much dairy I ate until I made a food diary honestly.

**Hemorrhoids - similar to fissure, if near the anal opening it can make it difficult for the anus to fully close. It can become infected as well, and sometimes stool will get caught behind it.

**Infections - like C. Diff. or gastritis, etc. Makes stool and gas fouler than usual because of the overgrowth of bacteria. STDs too.

** parasites - I thought I might have had this but when I took anti- parasite medicine all it did was inflame my insides D':

Personally (and TMI) the doctor said I had a fissure and the odor was caused by those smells leaking out through it. He also suggested I may have Celiac which is ironic because my symptoms started up after I got a job at a bakery. There was no air ventilation in that bakery either, so he says I was constantly ingesting gluten through flour particles in the air - and it was giving me symptoms. It makes sense too because I would purposely not eat so I wouldn't stink and within an hour of being there I'd have severe bloating and smell bad even with nothing in my stomach.

So there it is. Honestly if this helps even just one person I'll be happy. No one deserves to spend years smelling like this and it's really a shame how most doctors don't take it seriously and write it off as IBS or anxiety issues!
