Ulcers Due to Water Fast???

Hi,

I did a 21 days Water Fast this winter in Dec (goal was 30 days). I drank only DISTILLED water throughout the fast, 2-3L a day. By the middle of the 3rd week my mouth started getting very dry. I would wake up with a very painful sensation in the mouth, bone dry, and drinking distilled water it felt like it didn't hydrate much. By the end of the 3rd week, I began getting a "burning scar" in the front section of the tongue, a crack like a "boomerang shape" located roughly on the middle line of the tongue; situated at 1/4 of the tongue's length from the tip. When waking up that mark would burn intensely, mouth bone dry, then things would ease over 1h as I had some water. When I felt a sharp, faint pain in the stomach to the right of my LES I decided to break.

I switched to spring water (harvested locally) and felt better immediately.

The first 4 days I had to deal with mild dyspepsia and ulcer burns on the left and right side of the LES. Eventually, with cabbage juice (50ml with equal part water, 3 meals 4h apart) by the 4th day I was passing out skin/mucus (definitely lining from the gut) and on some of this skin like piece (quite large, a triangle with sides larger than 5cm probably) I saw a white scar resembling that on my tongue AND the mark on the tongue vanished shortly after; my burns disappeared. No burning sensation by the 5th day. I concluded that the ulceration was eliminated.

Every time I'd shed some "skin", I'd have sever die off symtoms. Enemas were needed - from the usual 1 a day I went to as much as 3-5 in those peak recovery days.

Three or four fasts ago, that's about two years ago - I made a post here - I caused an ulcer while refeeding, a cooked white rice grain got dry and stuck to my stomac (the left side ulcer seemed to be in the same spot ???). During the last fast around the 21st or 22nd day I had the same dry mouth symptoms. I drank water with sauerkraut brine (1 to 10 ratio) - acted like a laxative too and I felt re-hydrated. I managed to go another 6 days with 1-2 other sauerkraut brine days in between. When I broke the fast on the 31st day I had very faint dyspepsia sensations which lasted for a few hours, a day at most. So it was kinda like this fast but not as bad; I was able to eat 3x more right away (150ml green juice vs 50ml now - doubled with water).

And during the last fast re-feed period, I had some hot(spicy) food much to soon (no comment, long story, I'll spare ya'). I felt a slight irritation in the duodenum area and the stomach - the same way the tongue goes raw when you have fresh onions, it doesn't exactly hurt. I wasn't sick, or in pain, but I definitely irritated something. I think I weakened my gut linking/duodenum and whatnot. I wasn't too concerned, I thought the next fast would fix whatever needed fixing.

So ...

*** I thought Water Fasting was supposed to heal any irritations, ulcers and whatnot; not get it worse. I really don't get it. To me it feels like the distilled water is the issue here. Any opinion?

I would like to fast some more but I'm somewhat afraid.
